Support units provide both fixed and support side bearings for supporting ball screw shafts accurately.
The fixed support side unit is equipped with a matched pair of angular contact ball bearings. It is rated as C5 accuracy offering great rigidity and low friction torque, which match the rigidity of NSK ball screws. Radial and axial load can be sustained in both directions. Included with the fixed support unit is a snap ring, lock nut and spacer to fix the ball screw to the bearing with high precision.
Cheaper alternatives tends to be C7 accuracy unless they specifically state that they are C5.
The simple support side uses sealed deep groove ball bearings and is supplied with a snap ring for easy fixing.
The MA, SA, FA and compact FA PSS series of precision Ball Screws from NSK are supplied with finished shaft ends to perfectly fit NSK support units.
Square low profile versions and clean room versions are also available.
