NSK supplies the European machine tool industry with many of its high-precision bearings and linear guides produced at the company’s plant in Newark (UK). NSK has invested heavily in new machines and processes in order to further improve the quality and quantity of its output here in the UK.

Linear carriages in the NH and NS series up to size 45 are made at the Newark Plant.

All Linear rails are made in NSK Japan.

Production Techniques and quality

NSK Linear Rail - Each linear rail is mounted on a moving bed and passed through fixed grinding wheels that grind the rail face and ball groove on both sides of the rail simultaneously. NSK then use a master roller paired with precise calibration tools to measure the full length of the rail to ensure it is consistently accurate and within strict tolerance limits.

NSK Linear Guide - All Linear guides are precision ground to strict tolerances using state of the art grinding machines.

The combined production techniques of the rail and carriage give NSK the highest assembled accuracy on the market for randomly matched standard off the shelf Linear products. For the majority of applications that require high accuracy standard NSK products can offer the precision required from stock without the need for products being made to order with long delivery times.

Other manufacturers offer cheaper products but they simply do not offer the same accuracy and quality of NSK specifically on standard products.
